The Awards Committee honors individuals and/or groups who have made significant contributions in the following categories:  Larry Brimeyer Award for Exceptional Leadership Development, Correctional Worker, Lowell Brandt ICA Member, Multicultural Issues Worker, Outstanding Citizen, Public Official/ Employee, Victim Assistance, Women's Issues, Correctional Program and Past President.  Award recipients are announced during the Spring Conference.  In addition, a special program is held annually to pay respect to correctional employees who have passed away during the year.

Memorials - ICA annually holds a special ceremony  for corrections staff that have passed away. 
 
Scholarships - The Training & Workshop Committee annually awards two $250.00 scholarships, one to an ICA member and one to a child of an ICA member.

2010 Scholarship Recipients

Jena Martin

Jena Martin received one of two "child of an ICA member" scholarships.   She is the daughter of Russ Martin, 2nd District Probation/Parole Officer. Jena will be attending Iowa State in the fall of 2010.

Katelyn Rathjen

Katelyn received one of two "child of an ICA member" scholarships.   She is the daughter of Julie Rathjen of the 6th District Toledo Probation/Parole Office. Katelyn will be attending the University of Northern Iowa in the fall of 2010.
